The Ability Company is committed to transforming perceptions of disabilities and caregiving by advocating for and amplifying the voices of adults with diverse abilities.
Founded by Patricia Ferreira, who lives with Cerebral Palsy, and her sister Jennifer, the company leverages their personal experiences with disability and caregiving to drive meaningful change.
We Give Back
Every Purchase. Every Product. Every Service. Real Impact. We donate 5% of all sales—including services and products—to support disability initiatives in Indigenous communities across Canada. Because inclusion isn’t just a feature—it’s our foundation.
From adaptive fashion to inclusive consulting, everything we offer is designed to empower. And every dollar spent helps us build a more accessible, equitable future.
The Ability Services
The Ability Collective
The Ability Collective is more than just merch — it's a mission. We use fashion as a bold, visible platform to raise awareness, challenge stigma, and break down barriers around ability and inclusion. Every piece we create is designed to start conversations, shift perspectives, and celebrate the power of difference.
Our designs speak for individuals with disabilities, caregivers, and allies — because everyone deserves to be seen, heard, and celebrated. Whether you're living it, supporting it, or standing with it, you're part of the movement.
Because fashion speaks — and when it speaks with purpose, people listen.
We have two unique branches that carry this mission forward in bold and meaningful ways:
Our Lines
Our Lines are the heart of The Ability Collective because it is the foundation of everything we stand for. These year-round collections are more than just designs — they’re declarations. Each line is rooted in either the lived experiences of our founders or the core values that drive our mission forward. They speak to resilience, authenticity, and the power of being seen. Whether it's a personal story woven into fabric or a value we refuse to compromise on, Our Lines are here to spark connection, inspire change, and keep the conversation going — every single day of the year.

This line is for all the non-apparent disabilities. It is hard to understand any disability if you aren’t living with one, but it extremely hard when we are not aware someone has one. Each item is thoughtfully crafted to ensure inclusivity, advocacy and confidence, whether you’re lounging at home or out on the go. Perfect for expressing yourself with ease, our clothing makes inclusivity the new norm.

The Drop Zone
The Drop Zone is our dedicated space for meaningful, limited-edition releases that reflect who we are and what we stand for. These drops are bold, intentional, and designed to make waves—each one rooted in purpose and driven by the power of community. We feature three types of limited editions, known as the 3 C’s: Celebrations, Campaigns, and Collaborations. Whether we’re honouring special days/seasons, raising awareness, or teaming up with changemakers, every drop is a chance to connect, uplift, and inspire. The Drop Zone is where limited runs create lasting ripples.

These drops honour the moments that matter — special day, seasons, traditions, and lived experiences that deserve to be seen and shared. Whether it’s joy, reflection, or resilience, these moments should reveal the beauty of inclusion, the strength in diversity, and the importance of being recognized.
We put a spin on these moments of celebration to focus on what matters most — that everyone has the right to be valued and included. Because true celebration means making space for every voice, every story, and every person.

These intentional releases are designed to raise awareness, spark dialogue, and drive action around causes that align with our values. Each campaign is centered around a specific theme, awareness month, disability, or social issue surrounding this community. It’s where we choose to amplify voices, highlight lived experiences, and bring important topics into the light.
Our designs and bold statements are crafted to get people talking — because conversation is the beginning of any real change. From inclusion and accessibility to mental health and advocacy, these drops are rooted in purpose and powered by the belief that fashion can challenge stigma, shift culture, and move us forward. These drops aren’t just about what we wear — they’re about what we stand for.

Our collaborations are about connection — connecting stories, talents, and voices to purpose. Each partnership is rooted in authenticity and built to uplift, empower, and create space for representation that matters.
One path is partnering with individuals with diverse abilities. These are everyday people with powerful lived experiences and unique perspectives. Through these drops, we help them share their voice, express their truth, and earn a little extra income along the way.
The other path is for influencers, advocates, artists, and small business owners who are already creating impact in their communities. These collaborations are designed to further the movement we’re focused on—amplifying shared values, expanding reach, and building momentum for lasting change.
